STATEMENT
My dream for my creative work has always been to inspire love and hope. When an audience watches one of my films, I want them to feel that love is infinite and ultimate. I want them to see that everything in life is connected (even when they feel it is not) and that they should try to take care of as many people as they can. This is typically inspired by my themes. The most prominent point in my films is that resilience is key. My characters are always determined to do something, be someone, go somewhere. There are strong themes of self-love: you must take care of yourself and the people around you. I create these stories because I am tired of watching so many negative pieces of art. Too often I see people giving up, poor role models, heartbreaking movies. I want to show people, especially younger generations, that there is always a way out so long as you strive to find it. This is important to me and to the world. If we constantly preach that there is only sadness, that is all people will feel. It is my hope that my films will inspire just the opposite, joy.
