In all honesty, I had never expected to be where I wanted to be. Even as someone who wanted to become a lawyer, creativity still lies within me. You see, there’s a certain level of creativity I depict in my films, something that stands out of the ordinary even through the tiniest elements. And from each film, there must at least be a story to share. I make films in order to tell a story that is unique and quite different that even you, the audience, could not have obviously imagined a film would feature. Some of these films may or may not resonate with you but there will be something, maybe within the story or a character that stands out. And if not, it won’t be a surprise if you know someone else who may want to hear this story.
For example, one of the short narrative films tells the story of my aunt who immigrated to the States a few years ago. She explains a certain special dish that we, as second generation, may not even uphold as we grow older.
Know in fact, that any story is worth telling because film for me is an escape from reality. So here I am, embracing that reality. Nice to meet you.
