STATEMENT
Four years ago, I started learning video editing and since then my love for the creative process with film has grown. It started with my yearbook class in high school, where I became the head photographer my junior year. The responsibility for taking pictures of all the events became exciting to me. However, my true passion at the time was video editing. At the end of my junior year, I decided I wanted to edit clips that I captured on my own. Today, I do freelance videography and intern at a marketing agency. I started creating videos for work in January. Since then, I’ve had the privilege to shoot a barbershop video, real estate, engagement parties, weddings and events. The trust of shooting these important events had to develop over time; I made several videos before doing professional shoots. My goal is to make videos and travel the world through my lens, showcasing our world in the coolest and most unique way possible. That is something I’ve stuck by since the beginning. With my videos, I love to have different pacing throughout it all. One part can be slow and dramatic, and the next part is fast and fun, switching between the two in an effective way. All in all, I find great satisfaction in turning my ideas with a camera and computer into reality. I love the creative process and it’s something I want to continue with in my schooling and work.
