BIO
Brad Moore is an aspiring actor, filmmaker, and writer. Currently double majoring in Digital Media/Film Studies and Theatre Arts at Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC), he is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow. Through Boy Scouts he has learned many valuable life skills, leadership, and time management. Living through life, he has realized that we, as people, need to make and follow our own paths. Growing up he believed that he always needed to do what others expected of him. Believing he was expected to have a more stable job, he was going to become an engineer or business major. It took time to realize that he needed to do what made him happy rather than solely do what pleased others. This comes after experiencing toxic relationships and how cruel people can be. It took time to realize that people who you thought were friends were just using you. Learning that some people are like this makes them easier to spot and not include them in your life. Through these valuable life experiences Brad has grown into an independent, compassionate, intelligent yet cautious man. He wants his career to be successful, give back to the industry that helped him, and be able to provide for his future family.
STATEMENT
I create my work to give an escape to those who watch it. I have always loved watching movies and TV shows, not only for the story and entertainment, but I used it as an escape. When life got hard, those things were always there, they were a constant. Things that were relatable helped me realize that I was not alone in what I was going through. Comedy helped distract me from reality. This taught me life lessons to help me get through tough times. That is how film and video has helped me, and I want to do the same for my audience. I want them to be entertained, relieved, inspired, and hopeful for the future. I want them to know there is something worth living for and that they are not alone. Originally, I did not know what I wanted to do in media, hence the reason why I am double majoring. I was not sure if I wanted to do theater/acting or filmmaking. I now know that I want to pursue acting, but also want the knowledge of filmmaking to enhance my skills and I can always pursue more filmmaking in the future. Either way, the outcome is the same. Whether I’m acting or making a film, I want to be able to give back what was given to me.
