BIO
Jake is a creative. He’s loved movies and music for as long as he can remember, and his dream is to create his own. He considers himself an editor above all. He’s a resident of Hunterdon County, NJ, and is studying at Raritan Valley Community College to receive his Associate in Digital Media before his planned transfer to a bachelor’s program. His endgame is to live a comfortable life earned by working on video or films and by producing and engineering music. Achieving his goal of being an editor on really any media form is his ideal. He’s a fast worker and hopes to leave an impact with his work in the long term.

STATEMENT
I’m passionate about my work and it’s genuinely fulfilling. Showing my work to others and seeing how they react is nerve racking and exciting. If I inspire people to be creatives, I feel greater pride in my work. I hope audiences derive satisfaction from my work, meaning I achieve consistent quality no matter the project. I want my audience to identify my work without seeing my name on it. Returning fans are a strong metric of quality. I draw inspiration from a lot of media; I hope to inspire others with my own. My favorite, most well received, project I’ve produced thus far is a silent narrative short film I made where I did everything, from behind the camera to editing. I’m especially proud considering I made it on a very tight schedule. I approach projects by having an idea and working with it efficiently. Not rushing but keeping myself in a thought process that allows the final product to feel right. Characters take center stage and need to be well written; they control everything in a story. It’s always nice to mix some spectacle in too.
