STATEMENT
I have always had a love for storytelling, even when I was a small child reading books,
that carried into my adult life. The execution of any production can make or break a product, and editing is a prime element of video production that embodies this love of storytelling. It is a way of crafting how a story is presented to an audience. The materials just need to be fixed together in the way I think works best. While I have only recently tried my hand at all aspects of video production, I feel most comfortable as an editor. Of the works I have produced as a student at RVCC, I made several films and a music video. Most were produced without dialogue and usually with only a single actor. Across these productions, a theme I like to employ is a sense of absurdity. I feel absurdity is a way to open an audience to new ideas and perspectives, all of which I want to share with my audiences.
