BIO
Isabel Hepburn is a 20 year old, full time student at RV, majoring in digital media/film studies. Growing up, Isabel was homeschooled along with her older sister until the age of 14. Isabel would spend her days memorizing her favorite film scenes, and admiring the aesthetic aspects of the films she watched. When she first entered public school at 14, the transition posed a challenge as she learned and developed adequate social intelligence and skills for the first time. Prior to high school, Isabel had an interest in theater that she didn’t have an outlet to express it through, but once she discovered her school’s theater department, Isabel’s life altered abruptly, as it was clear that acting was her new passion. After having three years of experience in theater acting at a high school level, Isabel refocused to acting for film and television. Since then, Isabel has traveled the country, acting in award winning projects, written, produced, directed, and filmed projects of her own, and continues to broaden her network within the film industry. Isabel's unique approach offers a well-rounded perspective for both in front and behind the camera.
STATEMENT
Why do I want to act, what inspires me? I have wanted to act since I was very young. I would create scenes, write, and memorize monologues from my favorite films and TV shows, and perform them on a regular basis. I want to act because it’s what younger me would’ve wanted. Watching the actors that I look up to inspires me greatly. But why do I love acting? Well, I love the sense of community that there is on set. While I do love learning about what happens behind the camera, being able to perform in front is the most
exciting thing. Who is my audience though? My current audience is rather sparse, mostly film festival critics and viewers. While there aren't many that watch the work that I’ve done so far, I know that it is people who truly appreciate the art, and that is the audience I hope to expand. There are three things that I want my audience to get from my work. I want them to get inspired to create. Whether that be film, acting, painting, or writing, I just want them to get a sense of inspiration to go and create. I also want them to feel change. I want to help create work that has the power to move its audience. And finally, I want them to feel the sense of enjoyment and emotion that went into making it. I have a theme for what I am cast for. I am typecast for horror / post-apocalyptic / supernatural. Many of the projects that I get called in for fall under that category, and I love it!
