STATEMENT
Throughout my life, I have always enjoyed watching films that show action, drama, and horror. But the main reason why I followed my life to work on films is due to my high school film class. In that course, I got to experience the fun interactions working with a small crew by creating drama and action-packed videos. After finishing the class, I wanted to see myself become a stronger and more creative filmmaker and hopefully make award winning films. The reason why I create films is that for a story that is fictional or a real life event, I have always wanted to create a visual of how these stories can play out on screen, rather than having to read them in words. Watching many movies throughout my life, I have always been inspired by director J.J. Abrams, who has worked on many projects such as Star Wars, Star Trek and Mission Impossible. I constantly watch these three movies to see the amazing special effects and action packed sequences. With this, movies in my perspective play a large role in this world by presenting imagination, history, and real life events that have happened throughout time, but were not easily told to everyone. When visually seeing a story shown on screen rather being said, you get a larger idea watching rather than hearing words that specify the details that are trying to be explained. For this, I will always prefer films rather than books because I enjoy seeing, not reading. In addition, when choosing between fiction or documentary films, this becomes a hard decision because I enjoy all aspects of filmmaking, such as seeing a fictional story that provides outstanding creative visual effects, or a documentary that presents real life events. Both are filmmaking that I would work equally on because there are stories that needs to be shown. I will always put my strongest and creative skills to the limit in having to present a story that will be shown to the public. Overall, I always try to use my creative side to examine how far I can advance my skills by telling a fiction or non-fiction story.
